Aloo Methi Tofu Paratha
Aloo paratha usually seems like a hard sell? We are often faced with a question, is it nutritionally adequate?
Why don’t you throw in the nutritive properties of methi, add crumbled tofu to the mix and toss the same in unadulterated Soybean Oil by Doctor’s Choice?
This will surely make it a power-packed dish, one that caters to your taste buds and your holistic nutritional needs.
Ingredients:
For soya dough:
½ whole wheat flour
½ plain flour
¼ soya flour
3 tbsp soya milk
¼ tbsp Doctor’s Choice Refined Soybean oil
Salt to taste
For stuffing:
½ boiled and grated potatoes
¾ cup chopped methi leaves
¾ cup crumbled tofu
½ turmeric powder
½ chilli powder
2 tbsp dried amchur
1 tbsp finely chopped green chilli
Doctor’s Choice Refined Soybean oil
Salt to taste
Method:
To obtain a soft soya dough, combine all the ingredients with water and knead it to bring the goodness together. Once ready, cover it with a muslin cloth and keep it aside for it to set.
Combine the stuffing ingredients and condiments in a separate bowl, divide it into 6 equal proportions and keep it aside.
Divide the soya dough into 6 equal proportions.
Take one portion of the dough and roll it out evenly with a rolling pin.
Place one portion of the stuffing in the middle of the rolled out dough.
Pinch the edges and flatten them out by rolling on the stuffed dough. Do this with agile hands so that the stuffing does not tear.
Once the paratha is ready to be tossed, add Doctor’s Choice Unadulterated Soybean oil to the tava over a medium flame and cook it till both sides turn golden brown.
Repeat this process for the remaining parathas.
Serve hot with hung curd or a pickle of your choice.
