INGREDIENTS
For the Tomato Sauce
- 5-6 diced tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 onion
- ½ cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- ½ tsp sugar
- 4-5 basil leaves
- 1 tbsp chopped onions
- ½ tsp chopped garlic
- Salt to taste
- Doctors’ Choice Refined Sunflower Oil for sauteing
For the Pasta
- 110 gms pasta
- 3 cups water
- Salt to taste
PROCEDURE
For the Pasta Sauce
- Cook all tomatoes in a pan
- Add in the garlic cloves, onion and bay leaf
- Add in the water and then season the mixture with salt & sugar
- Cover it and let the tomatoes boil. Let them cool and grind them into a puree
- Now take a separate pan and heat some Doctors’ Choice Refined Sunflower Oil. Add in some chopped onions & garlic
- Add in the tomato puree. Cook it all till they reduce to half. Add in the basil leaves and keep it all aside
For the Pasta
- Boil some water with salt. Add in the pasta and let it boil. Drain it when done
- Transfer it all to a serving dish and add in the tomato sauce to it
