Fish Roe – East Indian Recipe
Fish Roe, generally called fried fish eggs, is a must-try recipe for every fish lover. Generally considered to be a recipe that requires minimal time to cook, its flavors and texture is something you can’t ignore.
Even though this recipe is cooked during the monsoons, it is rich in Omega-3 and is considered to be a healthy recipe for people of all age groups. Extremely flavorful and rich, it simply melts in the mouth in no time.

Ingredients:
- Fish Roe- 250 gms
- 1 finely chopped onion
- ¼ tsp ginger garlic paste
- Few curry leaves
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp pepper powder
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- Few drops of lemon
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Doctors’ Choice Refined Sunflower Oil
- Parsley for garnishing
Procedure:
- Wash the fish roe in water. Marinate the same for half an hour in ginger garlic paste, chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, and salt
- Heat Doctors’ Choice Refined Sunflower Oil in a pan and Add some extra onions for better taste
- Push the onions to the side of the pan and add the marinated roe. Cook the roe for roughly 6-7 mins
- Gently flip the roe and let the other side cook for a few minutes
- Mix the onions and roe together and reduce the flame. Allow it to cook for another 2 minutes until the flavors blend together. The roe should be dry and brown in color
- Add a few drops of lemon juice to the top and garnish it with parsley
- Enjoy delicious Fish Roe with white rice, sambar rice, or roti
