Gajar Ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 kg carrots
- 2 tbsp refined sunflower oil
- 10 chopped cashews
- 10 chopped almonds
- 3 cups milk
- 3 / 4 cup sugar
- 1 / 2 cup khoya
- 1 / 4 tsp cardamom powder
Procedure
- Peel the skin and grate the carrots. Keep them aside for a while
- Heat 2 tbsp of Doctors’ Choice refined sunflower oil in a kadhai and fry 10 cashews and almonds
- Make sure to fry them until they are golden brown. Keep them aside once done
- Add the carrot into the same oil and saute them well
- Saute them for 5 mins or until they change colors
- Pour 3 cups of milk and stir them all well
- Boil for 10 mins and keep stirring occasionally
- Ensure to cook until the carrots start boiling and the milk reduces
- Once the milk thickens add 3 / 4 cups of sugar
- Mix them well until you see the sugar dissolving
- Cook the gajar halwa until the halwa thickens and the oil stays on the side of the kadhai
- Turn off the flame and add 1 / 2 cup khoya, 1 / 4 tsp cardamom powder, and the fried nuts
