How To Cook
- 500gms chicken pieces with the bone
- 1 big sized potato
- 1 big sized onion
- 1 big sized carrot
- 1 small raw papaya
- 8 – 10 french beans
- 1 tomato
- ½ tsp ginger paste
- ½ tsp garlic paste
- ⅔ crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 – 4 whole cloves
- 8 – 10 whole black pepper
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp Doctors Choice Refined Soybean oil
Wash the chicken pieces under running water and drain off any excess water. In a mixing bowl, marinate the chicken with lemon juice, turmeric powder and ½ tsp of salt.
Take the vegetables and cut them into long strips and cut the onion into big chunks.
In a pressure cooker, pour in 2 tbsp of Doctors Choice Refined Soybean oil and heat it along with the whole spices – cinnamon, clove, black pepper
Add the chopped onions, ginger and garlic paste and saute it for a minute
Next, gently include the chicken pieces into the pressure cooker and stir while coating it with the oil and whole spices.
Throw in the rest of the veggies and mix the ingredient well.
Add salt as per your liking and pepper powder and give it another good mix. Let it cook for another 5 minutes.
Pour in a sufficient amount of water as per your liking and put the pressure cooker lid back on and let the stew cook for about 3 whistles.
Switch off the flame and allow the chicken to cook inside the pressure cooker till the pressure is released completely.
Remove the lid and add garam masala powder to the well-cooked stew and mix well.
Enjoy while the stew is hot!
