How To Cook

Ingredients :

  • 1 medium-sized cauliflower
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 chopped onions
  • ½ tsp ginger paste
  • ½ tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1½ tsp chilli powder
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup coriander leaves – chopped
  • ¼ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp Doctors Choice Refined Sunflower oil

Method :

  • Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and rinse it under clean running water. Then soak it in saltwater for about 10 minutes and drain all the water out thoroughly.

  • Pour the oil into a large pan or wok and heat it on high flame for a minute. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter in the oil.

  • Reduce the flame to medium and toss in the chopped onions and saute till it turns golden brownish.

  • Add the ginger and garlic paste and mix all the ingredients, frying them till the raw smell subsides.

  • Put in the tomatoes, chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry till the oil separates from the ingredients.

  • Add in the cauliflower along with salt and mix them all together. The cauliflower florets should have a coating of spices and oil all around.

  • Cook the sabzi till the cauliflower is fully cooked. This might take about 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Once cooked, sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves and garam masala. Give the sabzi a good mix and serve with freshly cooked warm rice.
