Ingredients :
- 1 medium-sized cauliflower
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 2 chopped onions
- ½ tsp ginger paste
- ½ tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1½ tsp chilli powder
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup coriander leaves – chopped
- ¼ tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp Doctors Choice Refined Sunflower oil
Method :
Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and rinse it under clean running water. Then soak it in saltwater for about 10 minutes and drain all the water out thoroughly.
Pour the oil into a large pan or wok and heat it on high flame for a minute. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter in the oil.
Reduce the flame to medium and toss in the chopped onions and saute till it turns golden brownish.
Add the ginger and garlic paste and mix all the ingredients, frying them till the raw smell subsides.
Put in the tomatoes, chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry till the oil separates from the ingredients.
Add in the cauliflower along with salt and mix them all together. The cauliflower florets should have a coating of spices and oil all around.
Cook the sabzi till the cauliflower is fully cooked. This might take about 15 to 20 minutes.
Once cooked, sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves and garam masala. Give the sabzi a good mix and serve with freshly cooked warm rice.
