How To Cook
1. 750 g Soya chaap
2. ¼ cup yogurt curd
3. ¼ cup cashew paste+milk cream
4. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
5. 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
6. 1 teaspoon red chili powder
7. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
8. 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
9. Salt to taste
10. ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
11. 1 teaspoon chaat masala powder
12. 2 tablespoons of Doctors’ Choice refined soybean oil
1. You’ll need 750g of soya chaap, which will serve as the star of this dish. To enhance its flavour and texture, marinate the soya chaap in a mixture of yogurt, cashew paste, milk cream, and a touch of lemon juice. Elevate the taste with a blend of spices including black pepper powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and chaat masala powder. Ensure to add salt to taste for that perfect balance of flavors.
2. Now, let the marinated soya chaap rest in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, allowing the flavours to meld together beautifully. Meanwhile, prepare your cooking surface. Heat a thick-bottomed pan or tava with a tablespoon of Doctors’ Choice refined soybean oil. Once hot, carefully place the marinated soya chaap on the pan, cooking for a few minutes on each side. Ensure to roll the chaap in between to evenly cook and achieve a golden-brown colour.
3. Alternatively, for a healthier cooking method, you can opt to cook the soya chaap in an air fryer. Preheat the air fryer for a few minutes before cooking the chaap for 6-7 minutes until crisp and golden. If using an oven, brush the soya chaap with a bit of oil and grill at 200°C until perfectly cooked.
4. Once ready, serve the soya afghani chaap hot, accompanied by a refreshing mint chutney and a side salad. This delightful dish is not only a treat for your taste buds but also a nutritious choice, making it the right choice for a wholesome meal.
